Pan African Film Consortium to host debut World Conference on African film

The Pan African Film Consortium founded by Mykel Ajaere Parish in 2012, will be hosting their debut “World Conference on African Cinema” from the 27- 28 July 2016 in Kigali, Rwanda. The world conference in partnership with the Rwanda Film Federation will focus on creating sustainable programs to develop and grow the African film industry, by addressing key issues like mentorship, education and accessibility to funding.

“Our strategy is to create an amazing structure for developing the African film Industry and partner agencies, governments and investors.” says The African Film Consortium

The conference scheduled for July 2016, will bring together international and continental film experts, distributors and government representatives, to collectively discuss and develop Action Plans for the creation of a sustainable African film industry. Those attending the first world conference can expect three sessions of panel discussions, which will include talks by special guest speakers sharing their success stories on how they were able to use film to support employment and  develop African film .
